College Visits

COLLEGE REP and military visits at NAHS

The Fall 2024 College Rep and Military Visit Program will be taking place Monday, September 16 through Friday, November 1st, 2024 during all three lunch blocks. College Admissions and Military representatives will host 25-minute in-person group visits for NAHS juniors and seniors.   

NAHS School Policy for Off-Site College Campus Visits

Students in the college search process are encouraged to take time to visit colleges of interest. NAHS allows its juniors to take up to three (3) college visit days per year. Seniors are permitted five (5) college visit days per year. These days are considered Documented absences. (Documented absences do not count against the student.) It is up to the student to notify his teachers that he/she will be absent, and it is his/her responsibility to arrange to make up any work that he/she missed.

Students are required to use the College Campus Visit Form below for all college campus visits. The form should be submitted to Guidance within 48 hours of the scheduled visit, and must be completed and signed by a parent. The form is available in Guidance or can be downloaded from the Guidance website.

Please note that all college campus visits require documentation from the college you visit within 24 hours of the visit. The documentation should be clearly marked with your name and date of visit, and can be dropped off in the Guidance Office.  

NOTE:  If the College Campus Visit Form is submitted within 24 hours after the college visit, the absence will be considered an Excused absence; after 24 hours it is an Unexcused absence. (Excused and Unexcused absences do count against the student and could result in credit reduction.)
