Competency Determination
In order to earn a diploma from North Andover High School, students must meet two sets of requirements: Competency Determination (CD) and graduation requirements. Competency Determination is the minimum requirement set by the state to ensure a student's education is meeting DESE standards. This is what MCAS used to test. NAHS' local graduation requirement includes a robust range of academic high school coursework that includes meeting CD requirements and course work beyond it.
